In keeping the physical and mental health of students in mind, CBSE is providing online education to its students during this lockdown. The board is now starting an online fitness session. In this session, students will be informed about yoga, basic exercises as well as nutrition. Students will be told how they can stay physically fit only by staying at home along with studying online. the class will be from April 15, 2020, onwards.
CBSE said that it is important for students to be physically and mentally healthy along with their studies. Keeping this in mind, CBSE has started live sessions in association with ‘Fit India Mission’. In these sessions, students will be given information like Yoga, Exercise and Nutrition. This Fitness session will be live from April 15 at 9:30 am daily through Facebook, YouTube, and Instagram for a month. The board has requested all affiliated schools to inform parents, students, and teachers about this session. The videos of this fitness session can be downloaded through the link given below.
The board also mentions that “as many schools have already initiated online/ virtual classes for students, it is equally important to invest in their overall physical, emotional and mental well-being at home during this period. Keeping this in mid-CBSE and Fit India Mission have collaborated to provide live sessions by experts covering a range of topics for the holistic well-being of school-going children, which will include simple actionable tips around basic exercises, nutrition, yoga & Meditation, boosting immunity, etc. These sessions will be LIVE on youtube, Facebook and Instagram daily at 9.30 am starting from April 15, 2020, for a month”.

All the live sessions are downloadable and can be made available as video capsules for any time, anywhere dissemination at a later point of time as well. The session will be curated keeping in mind the need to engage the trio of students, parents, and teachers. The overall objective of these sessions will be to help children stay fit and healthy while pursuing online classes as well as help them to cultivate a sustainable and active lifestyle right from their younger days.
